Santa time

Gavin, ready to see Santa and all smiles, until he actually came face to face with the big guy.

Carson, Gavin, Santa, & Ben.

No school meant a Santa visit while the crowds were low on a Monday morning at the mall. Carson asked Santa why he needed reindeer to pull his sleigh since Santa could use his magic to just do it himself. Santa replied that due to tradition, reindeer would always pull Santa's sleigh. Santa also played a candy cane game with Gavin to try to get him to sit on his lap. I have to say that Mall Santa definitely impressed Mommy!

Cooper Mountain Nature Walk

A new park trail opened in our area, so we braved the cold and discovered a cool park and an amazing view at the trailhead. We walked the shortest trail which was just perfect for our family. The boys enjoyed the walk and especially loved all of the animal prints in the cement (just like on Bob the Builder).

A Very Family Thanksgiving

We spent this Thanksgiving with both sides of the immediate family, so the boys got spend time with all of their uncles, aunt, cousin Zoey, and grandparents. It was so great to have Uncle Bob and Uncle Brad visit from San Diego and Irvine. We sure miss them the rest of the year!

Raking Fall Leaves

It was such a beautiful day today! Brian decided to do some work outside and gave the boys a chore to do: Rake leaves. Hmmm. They loved the idea of raking those leaves, but being that we only have two rakes and three boys, that presented a bit of a problem, throw in another five year old neighbor boy, and we have double double trouble. The idea, of course, was that they could take turns in shifts. Carson, Fred, and Ben went along with it pretty easily, but Gavin wasn't having it. He wanted to rake the entire time. Needless to say, Gavin ended up inside with me most of the time. :(
