Weekend Visit

Uncle Brad (Kim's brother) is up this weekend, so we got to have the family over for dinner.  Fun to get together and attempt a group picture.

4th of July

Uncle Brad came up to visit, so we had a fun family BBQ in our backyard. Everyone got to play and act like a kid again, especially Grandpa Jack! We also managed to get our best family photo yet. Everyone is looking and smiling at the camera! Hey, we're getting good at this.

3rd of July in Clatskanie

Cousin Daniel was great at entertaining the troops.

Daniel gave Ben a ride on the rope swing at their grandma & grandpa's house in Clatskanie.

Our third cousins Maddie and Destiny are first cousins to each other.

Cousin Ryan was an excellent pool jumper. He ran and splashed with style.

We found out a few days before that our great great aunt had passed away. On July 3, we drove to Clastkanie and sat (mostly) quietly (hardly) for her funeral. We didn't make it through the entire service, but we did enjoy singing a few hymns and hearing the story of her life read by our cousin Erin about her Grandma Ina.

After the reception that followed, some of the family headed to Leanne & Tom's to hang out and let the kids release their energy. Their Great Grandma Ina would have enjoyed watching all of the generations of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great grandnephews play.

Thanksgiving Day

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at both Grandparents' houses. First, we played and ate lots of yummy food with Daddy's side of the family and Grandma Joanne's cousins. I especially had fun playing with my second or third cousin, Zak.

Next, we played and ate desert with Mommy's side of the family. Cousin Zoey was sleeping when we arrived, and Ben and Gavin got in a short nap on the way there. I just kept going and going.

I did get to spend the next two nights with Grandma and Grandpa. We picked out a Christmas tree, played at the Gilbert House Children's Museum, decorated the tree, and went to a farm with an exchange student on the way back to my house.

Newest Cousin

My newest second or third or whatever you call it cousin came out to the northwest for a visit! Mommy's cousin, Amy, and her husband, Ben, came to visit with baby Brennan. He was 3 months old and oh so cute with a head full of silky hair!

4th of July Fantastic!

Wow, did we do a lot over the 4th of July weekend. We saw our first parade! And collected lots of candy that Mommy will never let us eat. Good times!

We went to two BBQs! We got to go swimming, ride bikes, and play basketball at Grandma & Grandpa J.'s house. We got to play with our fourth cousin, Destiny, who I only met once a LONG time ago, and my brothers played with Grandma S. while I ate BBQ with Grandpa S.

Then, Grandpa J., Daddy, Uncle Brad, and Uncle Mike put up our new swing structure (for my brothers' birthday). Yay!

Whew, that WAS a lot!

Mommy's Family Photo

Thought we'd take a large family photo while Uncle Brad was up visiting. The last one was taken accidentally by Mommy when she was trying to push the timer. She thinks those ones always turn out the best, though.

My brothers got this play structure for their birthday from Grandma and Grandpa and we all love it!
