'Twas the Night Before Valentine's Day
Why, oh, why did I wait until the last minute to have the boys sign their Valentine's cards? Gavin completed all but 3. When he started writing his name backwards and squiggle writing his name illegibly, I decided he was done. Ben insisted on writing out his full first and last name instead of just Ben. Think he completed about 3 like that. At least Carson, almost 7 years old, happily signed every single one of his cards, nicely wrote in his classmates names and checked them off as he went along, strategically placed heart stickers, and even addressed the extras to his brothers and neighbor friends. And I love how he addressed one to himself as well.
As soon as all the little cherubs fall asleep, Mommy Cupid will start her work. After an event filled weekend, that can't come soon enough. After two birthday celebrations, church, OMSI, dinner at IKEA, and dropping Uncle Brad off at the airport, our two littlest cherubs are wiped out.

Grandma Michelle's Birthday Celebration
My mom's birthday isn't until the 18th, but with my brother visiting, we thought it would be nice to celebrate together this weekend. My sister, Corrine, brought an ice cream cake and gift, I brought flowers and a singing card, and Brad got her a new Toshiba camcorder. Which present do you think she liked best!? We had a fun time celebrating her big _-0! ;) (And Ben's regift of Grandma's pillow from off her chair was a hit as well.)
Happy Birthday, Mom! I love you!
Carson's Beatboxin'
Watch out, Blake Lewis- American Idol 2020, here we come! Carson's newest interest is beatboxing. He did the background beat for Gavin's dancing below as well. Will they allow back-up dancers at his audition? I think Gavin's booty shake would win over the judges, for sure! :)

The sun is out!
It's freezing outside, but we've had blue sky all week! Took the boys to one of the parks in our neighborhood for some energy burning scooter and bike riding.

Lego Store Visit
Well, we finally made it to the Lego store with gift cards from Christmas. I had a good chat with the boys on the drive to the mall about expectations. I can't believe it, but no one cried, whined, or complained about the Lego purchases. Gavin was determined to get Buzz Lightyear Legos, but Ben's the one who ended up with that box. Gavin changed his mind and decided Ninjago was the way to go. Carson went with two smaller boxes of Pharaoh's Quest Legos. All were happy with their purchases and we spent the rest of the early afternoon putting together and playing with Legos.
