| Tired boys by the finale & ready to head home. |
We bought cheap circus tickets on Groupon and it was pretty obvious why they were so cheap, although people might have been buying them at the ticket booth for full price! It was a fun first experience for the boys, but I think they will be AMAZED when we attend a "real" circus at some point in the future.
Circus animal count: 10 dogs, 6 donkeys, 2 elephants
Circus performers: 16 (Anna noticed that the tight rope guys were the same guys that did the motorcycle stunts!)
Clowns: 1
Even though this circus wasn't exactly up to par in our opinion, it was still super fun to go with friends and have the experience. We sat down pretty close and unfortunately ended up on the back side. Most performers tried to face us at times, but it was pretty obvious we were on the wrong side. We had lots of room, though, and the boys took advantage of that, climbing back and forth a few times until we made them stop. They were very well behaved considering how long we were there. The 15 minute unnecessary intermission turned into 45 minutes, and Gavin was ready to head home by then. We stuck it out and it paid off since we FINALLY got to see the elephants.
Overall, we were glad we could afford to take the boys to the circus and look forward to doing it again, just to a real one next time. :)
