Feet & Paper Fanatics

The boys are into using paper, paper, and yet more paper these days.  They've made hundreds of paper airplanes over the past few months;  Carson has printed off numerous pictures from Disney or Starfall websites (without us knowing sometimes);  and the latest craze:  Mazes.  They have gone through all of their coloring and activity books, done every maze available to them inside those books, and have now moved on to drawing their own.  I have to admit, I love their creativity and the paper craze keeps them occupied and (mostly) quiet for more than five minutes at a time.  We do recycle and I'm trying to get them to use both sides and to decorate their planes (two favorites in one, right?), but man, have we gone through SO much paper lately.  I'm thinking a lesson on where paper comes from is needed and soon . . .

Oh, and I just thought Gavin's choice of shoes this afternoon was funny and had to take a picture of Ben's chalk covered legs & shoes.  Ben also covered one of the red camping chairs with yellow chalk.  At least he didn't waste any paper, right?

And as I write this, Carson and two neighbor boys are in the garage making their own creations with tape, scissors, and you guessed it, lots of paper!

Legomania

The boys all received lots of Legos for Christmas and love having Mommy and Daddy put them together to play with, but sooner or later, take them apart again and ask us to put them back together. Geesh!

Out of this World Fun

Daddy got in on the action and had a blast with the boys. Garrett and Isaiah ran around with the boys as well and we ended up spending a great late afternoon at the indoor play restaurant.

Say Cheese T-Shirts

Mommy couldn't resist getting these matching t-shirts for all of us! We LOVE to say "Cheese" and we like to pretend to take pictures of each other. I ask my mom to take pictures of my projects, toys, and silly moments with my brothers often these days. Sometimes I put my camera up to my face and take real pictures myself. I also put my hands up to my eyes to form a camera and tell my brothers to say, "Cheese!"

These will also be great shirts to wear on our visits to the zoo. We usually wear our orange OSU shirts, but we can trade them off with these now.

Three Little Monkeys

Daddy dressed us all in blue p.j.'s last night (Ben's in the solid blue), so Mommy thought it was a great opportunity to try for Christmas card pictures. I'm not sure if they'll make the cut, but I did spy her putting one together on Costco after taking these.

I was in a great mood, giving out hugs and kisses to everyone, and I even let my brothers play in my room. We had a blast jumping on and off the bed!

Barber Brian

Daddy cut Ben's, then my hair last night before bath time. He did a great job! Ben refuses to get his cut where we usually go, so Mommy and Daddy are very happy that he let Daddy do it.

Bob the Builder

Bob and his crew were at the Children's Museum, so Gavin, Ben, and Zoey enjoyed a morning building and fixing 'til all was good and new. They saw Scoop, Muck, and Dizzy. Rolly, too. Lofty and Wendy joined the crew. Pilchard, but not Spud. Farmer Pickles and Sumsy, though. And of course, Bob! The boys were beyond thrilled once they discovered what they were there to see!

Care Bear Hugs

Today, on the way home from preschool, I explained to my friend, Drew, that Ben wears blue and Gavin wears green. (Mommy does this a lot for picture identification purposes later in life, and so everyone else knows who is who right away.) However, today, unlike these pictures, my brothers were wearing blue and red, so Drew asked me, "Who's wearing the red shirt?" After a little pause, my response was, "I don't know." Mommy got a kick out of that answer.

Just an FYI for everyone, Mommy also puts Ben in Brown and Gavin in red or Grey when Blue and Green aren't the primary colors. (And if this rule isn't followed, it's probably because Daddy dressed them.;) I get to wear every Color for Carson!
