*New* Lego Table

I have a new favorite blog I plan to follow called IKEA hackers, where people submit entries on how they've repurposed or improved IKEA products.  I got this idea off the site for making a Lego table.  The boys already had the Lego bases and we have a few IKEA Lacks tables already, so this was meant to be.  The boards stay in place with sticky putty, so the table isn't ruined and the boards won't move around.  We all love this!!

Builder Boys

This is how we spent much of Saturday morning.  We were all up at 6:45 AM that day, ready to build.

Out of this World Fun

Daddy got in on the action and had a blast with the boys. Garrett and Isaiah ran around with the boys as well and we ended up spending a great late afternoon at the indoor play restaurant.

Dress Up

Gavin
Ben & Gavin
Buzz Carson
Mike Wazowski Gavin
Spiderman Ben giving Baby a piggyback ride.

The boys love dressing up! I bought the Cookie Monster and Elmo costumes last weekend at our Full House MOMS Resale and they've worn them at least five times since! Ben refused to take his off the other day, so he walked into the library as Cookie Monster and a little boy, about the same age, exclaimed, "Hello, Elmo!" about three times. Ben didn't know how to respond since he knew he wasn't Elmo.

January Snow

It's back! The snow has almost all melted now, but it was fun to see this morning. I didn't go to preschool, so we enjoyed a long day at home, which included singing "Jingle Bells" with Daddy, watching Kung Fu Panda, and taking all of our clothes off numerous times.

Ra, ra, ra for Rocket

Cousin Zoey loves Rocket from the Disney cartoon Little Einsteins. She brought her stuffed Rocket over when my mommy watched her this morning. For the most part, Ben, Gav, and Zoey did a good job of sharing Rocket, mostly because Zoey became more interested in collecting all of the zebras and giraffes she could find around our house. (And because I left for preschool shortly before she arrived and wasn't around to take Rocket away from one 2 year old to give it to the other, trying to help out, but making the issue worse.)

There's just something about giraffes that we kids like. (At least in our family.) Ben and Gavin play with the giraffes more than any other animal. Once, since Gavin took all of the plastic giraffes into the car with him, Ben insisted on taking the big stuffed one. We could barely see Ben's head during the car ride.

Daddy Practice

Gavin and Ben love their babies. They love doing "boy" stuff, but they sure love practicing to be good daddies. We have such a terrific daddy that changes diapers, gives us lots of hugs and kisses, and takes good care of all of us doing much, much more, so we want to be just like him!

Indoor fun at Munchkin Playland

We actually left the house ONCE this week and met up with Aunt Corrine and Cousin Zoey at Munchkin Playland near their house (and ours). The roads were (mostly) dry with small patches of ice on Tuesday when we went out.
