Egg Huntin'

All so excited to see the Easter Bunny!

Carson and Ella scoured the area hoping to find any stray eggs.

With so many choices on where to go for an Easter egg hunt today, we decided to check out the one at our local elementary school today, where Carson attends.  We ran into neighbor/church friends and Carson's classmates.  A local church put on the event and did a fantastic job. There were lots of eggs and even more kiddos!  Our three were the only ones with bunny ears, so it made finding them on the playground or during the hunt a little easier.

Easter Bunnies

Since the Easter Bunny aka Mommy was under the weather, and the Bunny helper aka Daddy took Carson to see Annie the evening before, the eggs were not hidden until 6:50 AM.  The first egg hunter, Gavin, came into the family room at 7:00 AM, so it was lucky that I could get them all hidden so quickly.

After an egg hunt at home, we spent the rest of Easter day with both sides of our families down at Grandma Joanne and Grandpa Dennis' house.  We ate a yummy dinner and the kids all had fun playing while the adults enjoyed fun conversation.  I wasn't feeling well that day, so I didn't take as many pictures as usual.  It was a fun, relaxing time, celebrating Easter with our family.

Family Time on Easter Day

Grandma Joanne and Grandpa Dennis hosted Easter dinner at their home Sunday afternoon. Grandma Michelle, Grandpa Jack, Aunt Corrine, Uncle Mike, Cousin Zoey, and our family all enjoyed a very yummy dinner. I ate some ham and Gavin ate three cupcakes.

We attempted a family picture of Mommy's side, but I was not very cooperative at that moment. We forgot to get one of Daddy's side (Grandpa was slicing the ham & Grandma was getting all of the food out), but we still have a cute one from last year on the same couch, in the "White room."

Gavin, Ben, and Zoey are now big enough to climb up on the bouncy horse all by themselves and we all had fun playing Grandma Joanne's piano. Zoey twirled and danced for us, too. It was all very entertaining and we all snoozed soundly the entire drive back home.

Thank you, Easter Bunny

We hunted for eggs in our family room Sunday morning and discovered that ALL of the eggs were filled with Legos! Then, I hunted for the dozen real eggs that I painted in the dining room after reminding Mommy that the Easter Bunny forgot about those. Or at least I thought he forgot . . .

Easter Bunny Racing

Yes! He came to our house! And I found most of the eggs, filled with jelly beans and chocolate! Some of them were the ones we dyed and I let my brothers put those ones in their baskets. My brothers found some candy filled ones before I woke up, but once I was on the hunt, nobody had a chance to even touch another egg. He he he.

After breakfast, we drove to Grandma Joanne and Grandpa Dennis' house. The Easter Bunny came there, too! We got little Lightning McQueen car baskets and Thomas trains. My two favorite toys! Grandma Michelle and Grandpa Jack went on a cruise for Spring Break and to celebrate Grandpa's 60th birthday. We went out to eat on Saturday and got cool spikey bouncy balls from them. We also had baskets with a summer outfit and stuffed animals attached to the outside. I thought the bunnies would enjoy racing, just like Ben, Gav, and I like to do around the house!

Coloring Eggs

I was sooooooooo excited to color eggs this year! I've become quite the expert since doing it last year. Still lack a little patience, but I'd say Mommy thought it was a success. We tried to dye them while Gavin and Ben ate their yogurt, so they could watch and not get too upset about not being able to participate. I think they were more curious than jealous, which was a good thing. (Gavin wasn't feeling so well yesterday when these pics were taken, but he's much better today. Notice the spoon placed across the yogurt bowl. Normally, everything would have been thrown to the floor. He really wasn't himself.)
