Sleepy Heads

As if Mommy doesn't get enough pictures of us, here are a few of us sleeping, or just waking up, taken this past week. First, I climbed into Gavin's crib while Mommy was trying to wake him up. Then, we all enjoyed piling up the blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals in Gavin's crib.

Next, Mommy found me asleep under my bed one night while checking up on me. (I've been battling bedtime a lot lately and guess I just finally crashed while playing under the bed.)

Lastly, Ben's crazy curly messy hair. Not sure how he can keep sleeping with his feet up the side of the crib. Guess he was too tired to notice.

Hello Sunshine!

This weekend was grrrrreat! Lots of sunshine so that meant everyone was outside playing! I had sooooooooo much fun with all my neighbors and they even came in our backyard to play with us after a quick walk up and down the street. Mommy said Ben, Gavin, and Cousin Zoey had to stay in the back where they couldn't run into the street. The neighborhood girls, Katie (10), Emily (7), and Gianna (8) assigned themselves to each of the three little ones to "help" and play with, although it seemed to switch around a bit. (Mommy was especially happy about this built in babysitter set-up!) I played squirt gun with Tyler (5), Christopher (13), Fred (4), and our new neighbor, Jarett (7), along with his cousin. We also made "Sloppy Joes" on the dirt pile and Mommy made up a new rule that if the dirt pile is dry, it stays dry. Daddy got to weed and Mommy got to take lots of pictures of everyone enjoying the much appreciated sunshine.

April Snow!

It snowed again! On Friday, the weather forecaster said to pretend it's late February and dress accordingly. Glad Mommy brought a winter coat to Grandma and Grandpa's house this weekend. Because, boy, did it snow!! Grandma, Mommy, and I went out front to eat some flakes and Grandma even showed me how to make snowballs.

I got to spend all day Saturday with Grandma Michelle and Grandpa Jack at their house while Mommy went scrapbooking with some friends. I "helped" Grandpa with their bathroom remodel, made a big train track with Uncle Brad's old Brio train set, and watched a cool movie last night.

Grandma Joanne went to our house to help Daddy with Gavin and Bennett. We called them this morning, but no snow back home yet. Maybe this afternoon it will start, just in time for me to enjoy it all over again.

Pictures of Mommy by Me

As many of you many know, Mommy is the photographer in our family and hardly ever gets in the pictures. Daddy tries to get pictures of her reading books to us at night, but she's usually in pajamas, worn out, and even more tired looking than she is during the day. Needless to say, those pictures don't usually make the cut.

So, I decided to try out this photography thing. I LOVED it! It's so great to not have the flashes in MY eyes for once! I'm really getting tired of having my picture taken so much and tend to run from the camera these days. However, this experience enlightened me and I LOVED being the photographer and being in self-portrait pictures with Mommy, too.

Ben's boo boo & the balloon

Just want to preface that Ben is not crying in pain. He is mad because he can't reach the balloon behind the gate. His scratches are from earlier this morning at the park when he fell off the play structure. It wasn't a long fall, but the bark chips did not show him any mercy. In the mouth, hands, scratched just beneath his eye. Good times.

Enter Gavin, happy and content, until he spots Ben playing with said balloon. After chasing Ben around a bit, Mommy decides the balloon needs to be put in time out again. At least Ben stopped crying for a few minutes. Now they're in stereo. Again, good times.

Spring in our backyard . . . finally!

It is so beautiful and green here in the Pacific Northwest, however, a variety of colors is always nice. Mommy loves the spring and fall for the gorgeous colors found in nature during those times. Our little trees still pale in comparison to our neighbor's huge Evergreens, but they're coming along.

Inside & Outside Play

I am so relieved that the sun is out and drying the yard once more. I couldn't take much more of being cooped inside. We made it to an indoor gym on Monday. It was okay, but I wanted to do more! Gavin, Ben, and Cousin Zoey seemed to really enjoy themselves, though. All three went on the teeter totter together, with Aunt Corrine pushing.

Tuesday afternoon, Mommy decided we could put on boots and stomp around in the muddy dirt pile in our backyard. Turns out, it wasn't too muddy. I mostly played at my sand table anyway, and Ben stuck around me (annoying me a bit in the meantime). Gavin gave sweeping the patio a shot, but was more interested in sweeping the table, basketball hoop, and trees.
