Through these circumstances, Ben has acquired the new nickname, "Drama" for his blind man walking performance and screaming "I have a bloody nose!" every time his nose was a little runny today. He did start medication this afternoon for pinkeye, so we're hoping he won't be so miserable tomorrow.

Illness Drama

Whoops, I did it again
Ben & Carson before leaving for the grandparents' houses.
Carson at his first Beaver basketball game
Julie & me, sporting our Goonies t-shirts.
Time sure goes by quickly when you're busy, busy, busy. With subbing, reading for my class, taking care of the boys, appointments, dishes, and laundry, and of course the, ahem, occasional Mom's Night/Weekend Away, I'm not sure how I can keep up with this blog sometimes. So, again, two weeks have gone by since my last post (that's better than an entire month between the previous posts-I change the dates, so you can't tell), so I guess I'm doing better than before.
Most recently, the boys all enjoyed last weekend with the grandparents and Daddy, while I enjoyed a weekend scrapbooking with the girls at the coast. This past week was spent home with semi-sick children, so I'm glad I was able to get away when I did. With a cold myself, I definitely would not have been up for spending a weekend away from home, not feeling well, and knowing the boys were not feeling 100% as well.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Going for a walk under the St. John's bridge.
At a park in the middle of downtown.
After church today, we went for a little drive and decided to explore places we'd never been before. We ended up eating lunch in St. John, then taking a walk under the bridge. In search of a play park and bathroom, we ventured downtown for a little while to play, then headed home.

January Update
Ben & Gavin's brotherly hug.
Kim in Astoria.
Brian at the top of the Astor Column.
Ben at a park.
Carson at a park.
Gavin at an indoor playground.
At Ella's birthday party.
Oh, my! We missed an entire month of posts! Well, this is what's been happening in our lives:
Carson started riding his big boy bike without training wheels this month! It was a great success and he's excited to try it again.
Gavin and Ben have been wearing pull-ups instead of diapers and going on the potty about half the time. It's a step in the right direction!
Kim started taking online graduate courses so that she can keep her teaching license. It's been consuming her extra time, thus no blog updates this past month. I've also been subbing 2-3 days a week, which has been nice!
Brian's been getting quite a few texts and emails from Extras Only and has been available for a couple, but hasn't been called in to "star" as an extra yet this year. Fred Meyer and Arbor Homes were the latests "jobs" he was available for. Fun, fun!
Brian and Kim went to Astoria for Kim's birthday this month. Grandma Michelle watched the twins up here at our house for the night (and didn't get any sleep), while Carson got to spend two nights with Grandma Joanne and Grandpa Dennis in Albany. The boys all loved spending time with their grandparents.
I'll try to keep up a bit more in February!

Snowy Surprise
Ben, Drew, Carson, Luke, and Gavin checking out the snow flurries early on.
Really coming down now!
Surprised by the snow! And it wasn't letting up.
