Snowy Surprise

Ben, Drew, Carson, Luke, and Gavin checking out the snow flurries early on.

Really coming down now!

Surprised by the snow! And it wasn't letting up.

Carson's giant snowball.

Ben snowboarding already!

Ben giving Gavin a push down the driveway.

We were pleasantly surprised by a snow storm today! After a playgroup this morning, we stopped at our friend's house to play some more, then small flurries started coming down, much to our amazement! We let the boys play outside, then pow! It really started coming down! Luckily, we made it home easily, although I didn't make it up our driveway! Brian made it home in a little over an hour after putting on chains after work. The highways are a mess out there, so I'm so grateful that Brian made it home okay and so early.

Legomania

The boys all received lots of Legos for Christmas and love having Mommy and Daddy put them together to play with, but sooner or later, take them apart again and ask us to put them back together. Geesh!

Out of this World Fun

Daddy got in on the action and had a blast with the boys. Garrett and Isaiah ran around with the boys as well and we ended up spending a great late afternoon at the indoor play restaurant.

It was a busy, busy Christmas this year at our house. Christmas Eve dinner out, church service, opening gifts with Brian's side of the family, Carson waking us up at 2:30 AM to tell us, "Mommy! Santa left presents in ALL of our stockings!", Carson finally going back to sleep at 4 AM after numerous outings to the family room to check out the filled stockings, waking up at 7 AM to see what Santa brought, Christmas morning breakfast at our house, opening gifts at my sister's house with my side of the family, and finally, back to our house for Christmas Day dinner. Whew!!

A very tired Gavin drumming away next to the stage.

Carson & Ben on Birdwell Island.

Our annual Full House MOMS & Dads Winter Party was held at the Children's Museum this year. We had the entire place to ourselves, with about 300 member showing up for the party. The weather cooperated for us, so everyone went home safe and dry. (Icey rain was in the forecast, starting at 10 PM.)

Zoey's silly dancing.

The boys' Great Grandma Charlotte (Kim's grandma) came for a quick visit yesterday and today, up from Southern California. We kept her busy with stories, games, dancing, and good food. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but so worth it. The last time we saw Great Grandma and Great Grandpa was when the little ones were two months old and Carson was 2 1/2 years old. Ben, Gavin, and Zoey are now 3 1/2 and Carson's 5 1/2. Grandma was able to pick up with them as if she'd been here all along. We love you and miss you, Grandma!
